The latest movie by John Abraham, DiplomatIt saw a sharp decrease in the box office groups on Monday, when it got about 1.50 rupees, according to early estimates from the sacnilk.com. The important decrease comes after the promising weekend, raising the total local profits of the film to an estimated 14.85 rupees.
The diplomat, inspired by real events, witnessed a steady rise in groups during the first three days. The film was opened with 4.03 rupees on Friday, followed by 4.68 rupees on Saturday and 4.74 rupees on Sunday. However, the first of the Monday demonstrated a challenge, as the groups dip.
The film, directed by Shivam Nair, is based on the realistic rescue mission led by Indian diplomat GB Singh. John Abraham plays a luxurious role, while Sadia Khatib, known for Chicara, Ozma, depicts the Indian woman who saves Pakistan.
Despite the Dip, manufacturers still hope to book on weeks and increase the word mouth in the performance of the movie in the coming days.
Thinking about the commercial journey of the film, John Abraham stressed the importance of telling stories on absolute box office numbers. While admitting to install the industry on high revenue numbers, the actor stated that its focus is still on the production of influential novels.
“My vision as a producer and an actor is just creating good stories and communicating with a wider audience. Do I want numbers? Of course, we all do, but we want it with good stories. This is the difference,” Ibrahim noticed.
He also pointed out that although commercial success is important, the industry must give priority to the novel of strong stories and quality filmmaking on just box office accounts. He added: “We have to cut all these noise, return to writing, and return to where we started and why we wanted to produce films.”
The diplomat still has the possibility of a return because he is fighting Vicky Kochl ‘CHAAVA’. However, the coming weeks will be crucial in determining whether the film can keep itself at the box office.
In addition, the film will face additional box office competition with the upcoming children’s movie “Snow White”, at the end of this week.
