The third chapter of The Wheel of Time Saga finally reaches the screens this week, and the fans of the Fantasy series for Robert Jordan enjoyed some of the huge moments that we look forward to. The exhibition was captured by the fans by building the rich world, exciting movement, complex personalities, and the third season promises the deepest diving into source materials, intensive personality arc, and high risk adventure.
Return to the screen is Madeleine Madden, where she restores her role in the role of EGOUN, where the story rises directly as it stopped last season.
Before the launch of the third season, MADDEN sat in an explicit conversation with Etimes, as it was reflected in its 5 -year journey with EGWENE, and the challenges of photography in extremist sites, and why this season might be the most exciting adaptation yet. Excerpts:
Nearly five years have passed since I entered the role of EGWENE for the first time. How did this journey personally and professionally constitute, and what about the development of your personality in the third season has impressed you?
The wheel of time was a major part of my adult life, so I mainly changed me. Oh, my God! We started filming before Covid, which seemed to be a million years ago for everyone. It was definitely a display marathon, and with a project of this scale, you want to take the time to tell the story correctly, allowing characters to grow and develop their arches.
This leads me to EGWENE – I feel that I really grew up with her. It was a real honor to see the world through her eyes. It develops, changes constantly and remains a real beginner in the world, and throws itself entirely in every experience it faces. I learned many of them in terms of discipline and push forward in life.
As an actor, it was an incredible privilege to try such an important arc, and we are only in our third season. This is a real blessing to be early in this series.
Season 3 requires a more mobilized approach compared to previous seasons. Was there specific moments that distinguish you – whether they are not forgotten in particular or a special challenge for photography?
We filmed this season at the end of the summer in South Africa, and one of the great things in this show is the amazing sites that we are filming. However, the deserts were uncompromising. However, in some way, this type of environment really helps you as a performance. You can actually feel like a wandering in a desert for several days because, in fact, you were.
An additional layer adds to the performance – something you can not repeat simply unless you are really facing it. Therefore, although it was definitely a challenge, it was also one of the biggest privileges.
EGWENE had complicated relationships with characters like Rand, Moiraine and the rest of the group. How do these dynamics turn in season 3? Also, with 15 books in the Wheel of Time series, is there any certainty about the fourth season?
Look, whether the fourth season is coming or not, it is something that we all love, but in the end, not my decision. What I can say is that the third season follows books 4 and 5 closely, and I think the fans will really appreciate it. This is the most sincere season for books so far, and contains a lot of depth and excitement.
I also think that the new fans will communicate with the world we have created and our heroes. The beauty of this series is that there is always a personality or aspect of the world that resonates with people.
