From eye examination to cancer tests, there are many health checks available throughout the country.
Most of them are free, fast, non -painful, decisively, can save your life.
About 20,000 cases of bowel cancer have been prevented through the England examination program in the past decade.

Even if you seem good health, it is important to test.
These are nine of the most important health checks offered, and when to get exactly it should be obtained.
Age 2+-Dental examination
Free for some: Available in NHS and private dentists
Once the child gets his first teeth, they should start examining it by a dentist. Most people need to go every six months.
GP Dr Helen Wall Sun tells on Sunday: “The non -managed decay can be painfully painfully and leads to dental loss and stinks.

Most dental practices do not accept new NHS patients, so you may need to pay for special care.
Age 3+ – Eye Test

The appointments take 20 minutes and evaluate your vision and eye health in general.
“If you notice any changes in your vision, get an examination as soon as possible,” says Dr. Wall.
The age of 18+ – hearing test
Free for some: available in schools, surgeries in the general doctor, pharmacies, hearing and optics clinics
Newborn children are often examined for hearing problems, and children are usually tested in school. For most adults, it is recommended to test the basic hearing between the ages of 18 and 21.
After that, you should test every three to five years, especially if there is a loud noise or hearing changes, says Dr. Wall.
Those 60 should be a test of testing once or twice a year.
Age 25-64-Cervical examination
Free for everyone: Available in GP surgeries and sexual health clinics
A cervical examination is provided to women between the ages of 25 and 49 years every three years, and those 50 to 64 every five.
The nurse will insert a dilution in the woman’s vagina to see the cervix and remove a sample of cells using a soft brush.
Takhla tests determine any abnormal changes and HPV (HPV), which may lead to cancer.
“Do not miss,” says Dr. Wall.
Age 40-74-NHS health examination
Free for everyone: Available in surgeries and pharmacies
If you are 40 to 74 years old and you have no previous health conditions, you must be invited to conduct a free health examination for 30 minutes every five years.
It usually measures your height, weight, waist, blood pressure and cholesterol.
Age 50-71-Breast examination
Free for everyone: Available in examination clinics, hospitals and mobile units
Women in England are invited to the first X -ray breast imaging between the ages of 50 and 53, then every three years until 71 years old.
With a 30 -minute date, two X -rays on each breast will examine breast cancer.
“The finding of cancer is likely to be early means that the treatment is successful,” says Dr. Wall.
“But if you have symptoms, like blocks, see your general doctor urgently.”
The age of 50+ – the prostate test
Free for everyone: Available in GP surgeries and hospitals
Men over the age of 50 can request a blood test to verify cases such as prostate cancer and extended prostate cancer.
It is not presented routinely, but it is available whether you have symptoms or not.
Black men and men who suffer from obesity and those who have a family history of prostate cancer are at increased risk.
“The more early it is discovered, the better the result,” says Dr. Wall.
Age 50-74-bowel examination
Free for everyone: available at home
Thanks to Damro James and the Sun’s No Time 2 Loss, NHS reduced the era of intestinal cancer examination.
This means that everyone between the ages of 50 and 74 will now receive immunosuppressive tests at home in the post, which are looking for invisible blood effects in stool samples and detection of bowel cancer.
The age of 64+ – the heart examination
Free for everyone: Available in GP surgeries, health centers and hospitals
AAA is provided to men in the age of 65 years.
The ultrasound examination is achieved if there is swelling in the main bowl that moves from your heart down through your stomach, which, if left for growth, can explode and lead to life -threatening stomach bleeding.

Others are offered for free to certain groups, such as less than 18 years, or those in full -time education, or more than 60 years, or people with specific conditions such as diabetes or glaucoma, or those who receive certain advantages.
